The HP Alumni Association is a non-profit association of more than 9,900 former Hewlett-Packard employees.

HPAA members assist each other, expand their professional and personal networks, and re-establish contact with former colleagues.

Those who were a direct HP employee continuously for at least one year... and are either no longer a direct HP employee or have a specific termination date ...are eligible to join the HP Alumni Association. Join the HPAA

The HP Alumni Association is an independent volunteer organization. Thanks to our sponsors, there is no charge to join. The HPAA is not endorsed or supported by the Hewlett-Packard Company.


HPAA membership provides:

  • Online discussion forums for networking and mutual assistance. Forums

  • HP Alumni group on LinkedIn, the leading professional online network. LinkedIn
  • Local meetings and networking events.
  • Escalation path for individual member benefits and retirement issues.
  • Access to products and services from Addison Avenue.
  • "HP Alumni News" – an occasional email newsletter.

Join the HPAA


The HPAA maintains several public directories:

  • Independent local and divisional clubs, forums, and sites around the world. Directory
  • Web links for HP alumni on finances and benefits, jobs and careers, etc. Links
  • HP and the HP Way – with a directory of HP history links. HP Way


HPAA members may join optional private discussion forums and job lists:

  • Career & Life Forum. For most members. Careers, networking, entrepreneurship, and topics not covered on other forums.
  • Finance Forum. For members interested in discussing personal finance. (HP-specific issues – such as HP medical, HP 401(k), HP stock and options, retiree discounts, etc. – are covered in the OnHP Forum.)
  • OnHP Forum. For those with a continued interest in the company – especially those receiving HP benefits. Covers: HP medical, COBRA, HP 401(k), retiree discounts, etc. And HP's past and future.
  • Transition Forum. For those who are transitioning out of HP or will do so shortly. Discuss the difficult decisions that must be made very quickly as one leaves HP. (Members of this forum should also join the OnHP Forum.)
  • TechTalk Forum. Technical questions from members.
  • Job openings posted by members and by companies interested in recruiting HP alumni – including contract opportunities at HP posted by agencies. (The HPAA does not list direct HP openings.)
