Alan Silverstein, Fall 2002:

The retirement-fund-related documents and forms in the green "Leaving HP" book I received by FedEx the week after my termination date were tedious and daunting. However, the process of rolling my retirement funds to alternate trustees was straightforward. I didn't reiterate everything in the subsections here (as originally written), you can read for yourself, I just shared some tidbits that weren't written up clearly.

Note, please do read the tedious legal docs for yourself, don't take this site as your only source. Also note that accounts with values less than $5000 must be distributed, see the HP documents.
