The HP Alumni Association does not have local chapters. Instead, the HPAA publicizes the many independent clubs, forums, and websites for former HP people around the world.

For a directory of the dozens of independent local and division HP clubs, forums, and websites worldwide, go to our Directory of local exHP groups.

The HPAA also provides technical assistance to those starting new local groups or online forums. Contact Image:editor10.gif

As an example, a group of exHPers set up quarterly events in Roseville. (Click here for information and photos.)

Setting up an informal local event

Mabel Esteves, 9/08

The keys to setting up informal local events:

  • Find a restaurant that will reserve a room or special area
  • ...and that will keep separate checks (so you don't have to deal with the money)
  • Tell HP Alumni News about your event well in advance of the date
  • Use Evite to manage the invitations and reservations ( http://www.evite.com )
